Vacations: Mostly just to see family in Pennsylvania, Indiana and Arizona;

Employment: School Psychologist for the past 28 years, special education teacher 4 years prior, 12 years in part time private practice.

History: Went to Wayne State in the Fall of 1970 to major in engineering and dropped out of school after a year and a half. Started work for Chrysler at Mound Road Engine on the assembly line in 1972. Did this two years before going back to college part- and full-time for another four years while keeping the factory job. Got a BS in education and started teaching high school special education in 1978. Completed an MA in school psychology at Wayne in 1981 and became employed as a school psychologist in 1982.

Married in 1983, had our first boy in 1988, I finished a Ph.D. also at Wayne, in educational psychology in 1990, our daughter was also born in 1990, another son born in 1993. In 1997 I received a new lease on life through the lens of biblical Christianity. Something wonderful I never expected.

My wife Nancy is my best friend, a devoted mother and a dedicated special education teacher. She has also been the best partner I could have ever had in life, and in raising our three kids. Our oldest son married a wonderful young woman in January of 2010. He is interested in song writing, worship arts and Bible teaching, and they are interested in missions to the poor. He is still finishing college, majoring in Biblical studies, and works for BGHS grad Mary Staperfene (and her husband Todd Greenbaum) at Neighborhood Child Care Center in Rochester (small world!).

My daughter will be starting her second year of college at Oakland University in Sept. She is a talented singer, majoring in psychology, minoring in entrepreneurship, with hopes to have a florist business one day. My youngest boy will be a high school senior next year. He runs varsity cross-country, plays piano, sings and writes music, loves music theory and expects to major in music in college. After 32 years in education and school psychology I'm still not ready to quit. It has been a most fulfilling vocation I couldn't have envisioned while attending BGHS. My heart aches to read about our deceased classmates, and it is so interesting and good to hear how folks are doing today. All the best to all of you. And special thanks to those who have worked to put the reunion together. Hope to see you in September.

Employment: after 32 yrs at GM Research, I retired in 2008!

History: Earned a B.S. & a M.S. in Computer Science at Wayne State. During that time I worked full time, made a few babies, had a few jobs, purchased a few houses, and finally started my research career at GM. I worked on some of the first robots, color graphic systems, computer vision systems, gradually worked into systems of systems. I then applied these skills to vehicle systems for the vehicles you are driving now.

I spent my last 10 years improving requirements development and management. GM Research gave me the opportunity to earn 8 patents.

I've been retired since Nov. 2008. I really enjoy golfing 2 or 3 times a week. I work with a disaster relief team twice a year for a week. I just returned from Dayton Ohio. I've worked on over a dozen disasters.

Spouse: Pete; Married: 38 yrs; Kids: 1) Matthew(33) High School Principal, 3 kids, 2) Stephen(32) investment analyst/financial advisor 1 kid, 3) Meghan(30) bank fraud investigator; Employment: social worker;

History: 2020 and 50 years out of high school. Hard to believe. Since Pete’s death 7 years ago, I’m back in the Oxford, MI lake house we moved to when we left Detroit in the 80s. Brought my 2 cats and chickens. My oldest son lives up the street with 3 of my 4 grandkids. They and their friends are here often to boat, fish, and swim or skate and play hockey In the winter. We’re surrounded by state land for cross country skiing and the view across the lake is all trees. Feels like being up north. Other son, and #4 grandchild, live 30 minutes away as does my daughter. With so many needing to travel to other states to see their families, I’m blessed to have mine employed and living close. Spend my time in volunteer activities, lake living, chicken-tending (always fresh eggs) and some travel. A May trip to the Holy Land with my daughter was moved to next year because of Covid. Hope the virus doesn’t keep too many away from our 50 year celebration. Safety and health is a priority of the Reunion Committee.

Activities: Preparing for my daughter's upcoming wedding. Golf, hockey,kayaking and watching our two dogs destroy the house. Which then leads to fixing it.

Vacations: Fortunate to go to Europe 3 times & Mexico and Carrabin Cruise Twice. However thoroughly enjoy going up North to Petoskey and the Mackinac area which we have done for the past 30 years.

Employment: Currently working at Ford. Prior: GM / Valeo / Form Rite-Si-Bi / Toyoda / TRW.

History: Like everybody else the past 40 years have been quite the ride. Education: WMU / BBA / 74 . Wayne St. / 78 / MBA Finance. After graduation from WMU, I have worked pretty much in the Automtive industy. Work, kids take pretty much of your time. I have been blessed to have great support from family and friends. Looking forward to hear about everyone experiences over the past 40 years.

Married 42 yrs to my love Karen. Have 2 adult kids Kristen who is a dentist and my son Mike who is sales mgr at Sellers Buick GMC in Farmington hills. I have worked at a car dealership in Roseville since I was junior in high school for a total of 42 years.

Single; Kids: Noelle (33), Steve (30) and his beautiful wife Jenny, Evan (18); Grandkids: Faith(9m), Sammy(7m)

History: Although I have been a single mother, I have been lucky to be a full time homemaker. I love being a grandmother. I have traveled extensively but my dream now is (once I get Evan through college) to buy an RV and see my own country!

Activities: I enjoy cooking, reading, attending Aerobics classes and walking our 2 dogs, Sabrina (Cockapoo) and Buddy (Silky Terrier)

Vacations: Italy, Vatican City, San Marino, Monaco, France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, England, Ireland, Canada, the Bahamas, and all over the United States.

We own a home in Agnone, Italy (a resort city in the ApennineMountains) and spend a month there almost every year.

Employment: Charter Township of Chesterfield-Assistant Director of the Senior Center.

History: I have been happily married to my wonderful husband Emilio for 33 years. He is a semi-retired crane operator.

We have had four beautiful children. Our son, Frank, who was autistic passed away on August 17, 2008 after a grand mal seizure at the age of 23. He was very special to our family and we miss him every day.

Our daughter Alicia is an Epidemiologist for Knox County in Tennessee and is married to our son-in-law Dan Verlinde who works for a computer software development company. They met while attending the University of Michigan-GO BLUE! Our son Vince is a college professor and received his Undergrad and Masters Degree from Eastern Michigan University- Go Eagles! My daughter Gina is still attending classes at Macomb and is currently working as a Para-professional in the Autistic Impaired Program for the Macomb Intermediate School District. My husband and I travel extensively and enjoy spending time with our family and friends.

Employment: Director, Advanced Missiles, Raytheon Missile Systems;

History: Granduated Univ of Michigan Engineering 74, Retired in 1996 after 21 years in the USAF as a Lt Col after flying as an Instructor Pilot in T-38's and F-4's. We lived in Mississippi, Florida, Alaska, Philippines, California, Hawaii, Virginia, Korea, Texas and Arizona. Went to work in the Defense Industry for Texas Instruments Defense (now Raytheon) working on Advanced Programs to design future aircraft and missile systems that will enter production in 5-10 years.
