Spouse: Lynne 32 Years (A beautiful woman inside and out. I marred up.)

Children: Sarah, Dan, Jess and John (Unfortunately we lost John in 2018. He died from complication related to injuries he suffered serving in Iraq with the USMC.)

Grandchildren: 7 (4 leaving here in Bardstown, 3 at Elmendorf Airforce Base, Anchorage Alaska)

History: I retired in 2019 after working 45 plus years in various positions relater to tooling for plastic injection molds. We left Michigan in 1992 and lived in Western North Carolina for 9 years. We moved to Bardstown Kentucky in 2001.

I spent several years on the Board of directors for NAMI Kentucky also serving as Board Chair. (National Alliance on Mental Illness.) I am now on the Board of Directors for Communicare our local mental health provider.

Vacations: We are lucky to live in one of the most beautiful small towns in the US and we plan to spend our retirement here. We travel to Tarpon Springs Florida in the winter and visit my sister Denise and her husband on Torch Lake, in Michigan, in the summer.

History: I taught honors and AP Biology, Chemistry, and Human Anatomy and Physiology. I was a full-time teacher for 10 years and I've also taught several years while being principal. Before coming to St. Mary's in Annapolis, MD. I was principal of a grade 6-12 school in upstate New York. I also opened a new Catholic high school in the small town of Richmond, Indiana. I've also been a Catholic high school principal in Ann Arbor, MI and Lakeland FL as well as an elementary principal in St. Petersburg, FL. I've been a principal for over 22 years!

The favorite thing about being a teacher is that excitement you feel when you see students understand a really difficult concept. I also really enjoyed seeing so many of my students go on to college for careers in the sciences.

Employment: VA as a Dental tech.;

History: Went to school in Milwaukee for Dental Technology and met my wife (Mary) there in the summer of 71. February 72, I went into the Army where I spent the next 7 years. Married in May 72 between basic and advance training. My first assignment was at Ft. Devens, Ma, then to Korea and finally Ft. Bliss, Tx. After the service we moved to Ferndale, Mi. were I worked as a Dental Tech. I also joined the Army Reserve and went back to school. In Oct. 85, I received an offer to work for the VA in Grand Rapids and I've been here ever since.

While in the reserves I made several trips to Germany, Japan, and many posts around the country. In July 2005, I was deployed to Kuwait and worked as the senior preventive medicine NCO for 3rd Army. I traveled to Iraq, Afganistan, Kyrgystan, The Horn of Africa, and Quatar. Returned home in Nov. 2006 and retired from the reserves in Nov. 2007.

July 2008, Mary was diagniosed with lung cancer and passed away in March 2010. In June, I'm going to TN for my grand daugthers 2nd birthday and then again in August before my son ships to Afganistan.

Spouse: Rhonda Lee for 41 years Kids: Heather ( 36 ) and Meghan ( 33 )

History: I retired from Fiat Chrysler 2017 as Corporate Critical Specialist, responsible for fixing troubled suppliers in China, Europe as well as North America.

Now a days spending my time, traveling and training an Old English Sheepdog puppy. Word of caution never go looking at puppies after you have been drinking. Our travels have taken us to England, France, Belgium, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Egypt, to name a few. Our next trip is to Budapest, Vienna, Prague and Berlin. Our summers are spent boating with the entire family.

As of yet we have no grandchildren, but plenty of Grand puppies.

I look forward to seeing everyone in Sept.

Activities: I started my 33rd season of volleyball with Walled Lake Community Ed. 2 weeks ago. I play tennis twice a week and I'm on the Suburban League & I played in 2 golf leagues this summer and hope to play some more this Fall.

Vacations: We love to travel. Last winter we finally made it to Hawaii. We have 2 ski vacations planned for this Winter. I retired from teaching Physical Education in Brighton in 2005 and I'm now a stay at home mom ( a job I never appreciated before as a teacher.) My daughter is in 10th grade at Marian High School. She was 10 when I retired. I started an after school Latch Key program in '08 at St. Patrick School in White Lake and spend 3 hours a day scheduling, working and planning it.

History: I graduated from EMU in 74, began teaching in Detroit in 75. Landed my Job in Brighton in 78 from which I retired in "05. I taught Elementary PE for all those years. My husband has his own law firm in Bloomfield Hills and my daughter is an attorney in his firm. My son in the IT field and currently attending ITT in Troy. Our first house was in Waterford near Judy Harrison and Mary Staperfenne. My second house had a beach privilege on Union Lake and my current home is on Union Lake. We enjoy our pontoon boat in the evenings and the ski boat in the mornings. We were out watching Jupiter tonight right under the full moon. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Mary Ellen
